Take Sukhumvit Rd. and go down to Pattaya. Then turn right at North Pattaya Rd. And turn left at Pattaya Sai 2 Rd. Store is on the left of Pattaya Sai 2 Rd. BigC, or BigC Supercenter, is a chain of retail discount department stores in Thailand. Casino Group of France, known for Géant, owns approximately 63 percent of the company. The remainder is owned by Central Retail Corporation, Thailand's largest retail conglomerate. As of February 2006, the company operates 49 stores, 24 of which are in Bangkok. Leader Price, an affiliate, was remodeled into Big-C. The company will open Big C stores in 2007 in Lamphun, Hang Dong in Chiang Mai, Koh Samui and Chon Buri for a total of 53 stores. In 2006, Big C reported sales of Bt58.03 billion (US$1.75 billion), up 9.1 per cent from Bt53.19 billion in 2005. Net earnings grew to Bt2.12 billion, up 12.8 per cent from Bt1.88 billion in 2005. It main competitors are Carrefour and Tesco Lotus.

Pattaya Shopping Shopping is a major pastime in Thailand, particularly with tourists. Surprisingly, it doesn't seem to reach the frenzy in Pattaya that it does in Bangkok, Chiang Mai or even Phuket. Perhaps, it's because there are so many other things to do in Pattaya. Or it might be caused by the fact most visitors to Pattaya spend time in Bangkok, a city packed with shopping opportunities. This doesn't mean there aren't places to shop in Pattaya. There are loads of them. Just don't expect the variety you'll find in the Big Mango or the handicrafts that you'll find in a place like Chiang Mai. Shopping walking Street Pattaya

Thai-style Markets Thailand is famous for its open-air markets with small stalls selling a myriad of products, mostly locally made, and often what one would consider a handicraft. Pattaya has less of this type shopping than most of Thailand's major tourist destinations, but Thai-style markets do exist. Thepprasit Market on Thepprasit Road near the junction with Sukhumvit Road is Pattaya's version of a weekend market. It has over 500 stalls offering food and a variety of goods. On Tuesdays and Fridays, Soi Buakhao Market, sometimes called the Tuesday/Friday Market, sets up on the corner of South Pattaya Road and Soi Buakhao. In the evenings a small market appears further along South Pattaya Road. The Made in Thailand Night Plaza found on Second Road near Soi 10 is a warren of small shops offering a variety of locally made products each day from 08:00-23:00.
